What is the game about?
Sunset Overdrive is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. Players navigate the dystopian world of Sunset City, a metro police station in the year 2027. The dystopian world has been overrun by mutants known as OD, or Overcharge. The player character is a former FizzCo employee who is tasked with cleaning up the mess left behind from a party thrown by FizzCo to celebrate the release of an energy drink called Overcharge Delirium XT.
GamePlay:
The game’s combat emphasizes speed and encourages players to use speed to defeat their enemies. As a result, players can use a variety of moves in the game, such as wall-running, ziplining, air-dashing, acrobatics, performing parkour, and walking on water. Grind rails are used by players to maneuver through the streets and they change direction at will. The city is filled with various objects for players to use to jump into the air.
